I have been an entrepreneur since the age of 24. 

I quickly realized that I was not meant for the standard 9-5 job. I craved spontaneity and flexibility.  I started with a Candy Bouquet Franchise that operated out of my basement and grew into a 7 store Hallmark chain! I love the atmosphere of retail. I love holidays, celebrations, and gift-giving occasions. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of operating a retail chain, from purchasing, public relations, marketing, and technology development. In a short time, Dena’s Hallmark was labeled as a top 25 company in the West Division and experienced major growth.  Life took an unexpected turn which gave me the opportunity to start something new. I sold my stores, moved to the Indy area, and easily made the decision to stay in the industry.  This was a life I wanted to continue only on the flip side this time. I am passionate about being an entrepreneur and helping others rise to the top. My extensive background as a past retailer allows me to connect with my customers that creates results for both the retailer and manufacturer.

My simple operation of being a Sales Representative was not enough to keep me excited and challenged. I missed the atmosphere of colleagues, team environment, and wanted to create something bigger. DEVA Sales Agency was born!  This allows me the best of all worlds! I am able to work with customers, representatives, manufacturers in all aspects of this ever-changing industry.  The challenge of creating a new agency that partners with some of the leading brands in the industry is just one of the rewards. I enjoy being creative, finding new opportunities, creating a marketing strategy, assisting retailers/reps reach their full potential, and working on that bottom line. I understand what owning a business takes from all perspectives. I love the challenge- everyday!

Professionally, I have been on a board of directors for the Danville, IL Chamber of Commerce and been included on many vendor boards. I have also been recognized as Rep of the Year and Agency within a Manufacturer and quota achievers for several vendors.
